When it comes to choosing the right database engine for your WebDNA projects, our sub-forums covering MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle only cover part of the choices you're being offered.

Larger companies may want to pay a premium to use engines like IBM's DB2, Informix SE (now a part of IBM), Microsoft's SQL Server, Sybase IQ, solidDB, Borland's InterBase, Software AG's Adabas,  ..while smaller shops might want to explore lesser known but surprisingly powerful (yet free) solutions like SAP DB, HypersonicSQL, GigaBase, FastDB or even GNU SQL.

It's all a matter of preferences, personal or... corporate ; )

You're free to discuss all these database engines here, especially when it's in order to make them work smoothly with WebDNA.
